Old-style game design
Netent's going for an old-style cash machine look when they designed this slot. While this is not necessarily a bad thing, the lack of imagination does make the slot look rather drab. There are five higher-level gem symbols with their distinctive colours and shapes and an equal number of lower level royal flush poker symbols. Not much to get excited about yet! The slot does come with saloon music that definitely reinforces the old-style atmosphere created by the slot's design. There are some additional audio effects which are standard but effective.
Reverse Avalanche Feature
The typical avalanche feature, when triggered, involves winning symbols which explode leaving empty spaces that are quickly filled by symbols above them for the chance at more wins. Netent claims to have flipped this concept on its head so that now the opposite is true. Instead of winning symbols exploding, losing symbols explode so that the winning symbols cascade down to the bottom giving you a chance to get a bigger win when new symbols are added on top.
Level Multiplier
The level multiplier is only applicable in the main game and is awarded if a minimum of one row is filled with winning symbols. It has four different levels: collect x1, x2, x4 or x10 multiplier on the first, second, third or fourth level.

Free Spins with multiplier
By collecting at least 10 scatter symbols on a spin, the free spins are triggered according to the exact number of scatter symbols. Each row filled with free spins adds another free spin to your total. At the same time the level multiplier is awarded to free games. Here, the multiplier depends on the number of scatters triggering the feature. Anywhere from 10 to 14 scatter symbols on the first, second, third or fourth levels apply a x2, x4, x8 or x20 multiplier. Anywhere from 15 to 19 scatter symbols on the first, second, third or fourth levels apply a x3, x6, x12 or x30 multiplier. With 20+ scatter symbols on the first, second, third or fourth levels, you receive a x5, x10, x20 or x50 multiplier.

So what did we think?
Although the slot is designed to have a retro-look, we couldn't help but feel that the artwork gave a bad first impression of a boring slot. The soundtrack partially compensates for this as do the interesting reverse avalanche, free spins and level multiplier. There are no wild symbols and although we found the level multiplier did factor into play, relatively often, the free spins were difficult to unlock. As far as higher volatility slots go, we think there are more exciting ones out there with better payouts.
