Mamma Mia ?

Welcome to Mamma Mia, the 5-reel and 1 to 25 variable paylines slot from 1x2 Gaming where if it’s clichés that you’re after then you’ve come to the right place!
Enter this fine Italian establishment draped with the red, white and green colours of the Italian flag for a chance to win up to 750 coins per active payline with 5 Michael Angelo’s David, errr….doodle and all!
Culture, food and history
While the graphics are not the highlight of this game, there are plenty of symbols that can easily help you make the connection to Italy.
Of course, arguably, nothing says Italian more than a plate of piping hot spaghetti, but the developer sure comes close!
What woman wouldn’t recognize a D&G bag or woman in the latest designer clothes from Milan? And while we’re reminiscing about Italy, how about a motor scooter to navigate those old-world roads. Maybe your taste leans more towards Ferraris in which case you’ll love the wild symbol.
Of course, Italy is known for its culture too which the developer has covered with Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and Michelangelo’s David!
The music is a pleasant Italian tune with something you might find in a restaurant with standard sound effects including someone amusingly exclaiming ‘Mamma Mia’ when you are awarded free spins.
Ferraris are wild!
Hey, who didn’t know that Ferraris are figuratively wild but in this game they literally are wild, substituting for any symbol except the free spins symbols! Three Italian male symbols on any winning line are all you need to trigger the free spins feature with 3, 4 or 5 of them awarding you 5, 10 or 15 free spins.
During the free spins, all winning paylines have a 4x multiplier. Unfortunately, while the free spins feature is activated you cannot re-trigger it.
Conclusion
The theoretical return to player (RTP) for Mamma Mia is 97.02%, which is towards the higher end of the range of many slots. You have a broad range of options in terms of the bet size so you can go with as little as €0.01 to as much as €62.50.
The graphics for this game are definitely not the best that we have seen from this developer but the music is quite charming in a busy restaurant background noise kind of way. The coin prizes are decent and I found that the wins came quite frequently though often the prizes were around the size of my bet meaning the variance is probably somewhere between low and medium.
I did manage to trigger the free spins on occasion but whereas most games require three or more scatter symbols as the triggers, this one requires 3 or more symbols on a win line which is not quite the same thing.
