The Casino Barrière Menton is located at the coast of the Mediterranean at the Promenade du Soleil, just like the traditional seaside resorts. It is set in a charming Mediterranean city between the borders of Italy and Monaco, and it offers a very elegant design. You can enjoy a superb terrace overlooking the sea. Learn more about the establishment in our review below.

The slot machines
The games room with the slot machines is open daily from 10am to 3am, or until 4am on weekends. New slots are regularly added to the selection that currently offers more than 200 slot machines with stakes starting from €0.01 up to €10. You can find:

- traditional slot machines with 3 reels.
There is also a room reserved for smokers that has many machines, and allows you to play while enjoying a cigarette or cigar.

The room dedicated to traditional table games is open daily from 8pm. There are several different games available:

In the centre of the room with the table games you can also find a poker room that opens at 8pm as well. Available are three poker tables for Texas Hold'em No Limit, each accommodating up to 10 players.
It should also be said that according to French regulations, access to the casino is reserved for adults only, and only if they are not excluded from gambling activities. You will have to present a valid form of identification when you enter the establishment.
A bar, a restaurant, a theatre and a nightclub
In addition to this beautiful game selection, the Casino Barrière Menton also offers various other services aside from gambling.
The Café des Sports
The Café des Sports has a unique design and has been inspired by the great hotels. It is accessible without ID every day from 10am to 2am, or until 3am on weekends. It has a 200 m² lounge terrace and offers some of the best Menton sea views for a drink or snack between the games. There is a brasserie menu for lunch and dinner with seasonal and casserole dishes. There will also be live screenings and broadcasts of sporting events on giant screens. These are shown throughout the year.
The Brasserie Colombale
Open from 12pm to 2pm and 7.30pm to 10pm on weekdays (11.30pm on weekends), the Brasserie Colombale offers a taste of the delicious Southern French cuisine in an elegant setting with a superb terrace overlooking the sea. Chef Jean-Claude Bollaro prepares a daily buffet of appetisers consisting of specialties, seasonal dishes and a buffet of desserts, such as fruit salad, tiramisu and other delicacies! At lunch, there are three menus for €11, €15 and €23 available. At dinner, the price is €25.
The Salon Barrière
The Casino Barrière Menton theatre and event hall offers entertainment throughout the year. This beautiful large room can accommodate a wide variety of events: fashion shows, theatre performances, cabaret nights, comedians, entertainers, etc.. The Salon can also be hired by private individuals on request for banquets, weddings and other events.
The Brummel Club
For the party animals among you: the establishment opens their doors to a nightclub called Le Brummell Club every Saturday from 11pm until 5am. You can finish your evening by dancing in an idyllic setting that is facing the sea.
However, you should know that the establishment of the Lucien Barrière group has no accommodation facilities on their premises. Fortunately, you will easily find many boutique hotels in the area that suit all budgets. For example, The Balmoral is a 3 star boutique hotel, and prices start from €70 a night.
A magnificent establishment right next to the sea
Menton is a charming town in the southeast of France, right next to the Mediterranean Sea, and bordering Italy. It is commonly called the Pearl of France. The tourist resort at the Côte d'Azur is not only renowned for its mild and sunny climate for most of the year, but also for its beautiful bay and its beaches. The superb Casino Barrière Menton is located on the Avenue Félix Faure in front of the sea.
You can access the casino by car via the A8 motorway, exit 59 (km 220).
You can also reach it by train. The train station of Menton is located in the city centre, just 5 minutes walk away from the casino.
If you want to visit by plane: the International Airport of Nice at the Côte d'Azur, the third highest in passenger numbers in France, is located 42 km from Menton.
A magnificent establishment with a stunning design
Almost at the end of this review about the Casino Casino Barrière in Menton, I would like to talk a bit about the general atmosphere in the casino.
Firstly, it should be said that the establishment is located in a magnificent palace full of history, which is the pride of Menton. It is worth visiting the casino at least for its architectural beauty.
The art deco designs are untouched and games room has an impressive ceiling height, which means that you will not feel cramped or smothered like you might in other casinos.
However, the place might not always be as clean as you want it to be, and there have been complaints about the toilets being a little dirty at times. Similarly, we must also recognise that the sea view is not visible at night since nothing is illuminated. It is very easy to confuse the beach with asphalt.
When at the reception, it depends a bit on who you meet. In general, the staff are very nice and friendly. Nevertheless, it may happen that you might get treated a bit formal and a little too cold. What is worse is that you can also be ignored by unpleasant employees who do not even say hello or goodbye. Fortunately, this does not happen very often.
The casino attracts a lot of people on weekends and during the high season. You can count on a very entertaining and exciting atmosphere. Nevertheless, on weekdays and during the winter, the establishment is a lot less crowded and the atmosphere is a bit more gloomy.
So, what can we say about the Casino Barrière Menton?
The establishment is in the top 25 in France in terms of turnover, and it fully deserves to be in this ranking, especially regarding the rather rich and diverse game selection.
Although the atmosphere is less exciting in winter, and the staff are not always super friendly, we will have to acknowledge that this is the case everywhere you go. You will be treated with respect, and you will have a great time here.
In short, this casino is a must-stop when you want to have a great stay in Menton.
