UKGC 32red

32Red sanctioned with €500,000 fine

Between November 2014 and April 2017, the casino failed to protect a player displaying signs of problem gambling who had deposited £758,000 at 32Red.

The UK regulator, the UK Gambling Commission, is working hard to protect players when it comes to gambling and casinos. After LeoVegas had been fined £600,000, it is now the turn of 32Red Online Casino to be punished by the regulator for failing to adequately protect their players.

Deposits of £758,000 without controls in place….

The UK Gambling Commission has focused on the case of a player who made a total of £758,000 in deposits between November 2014 and April 2017. 32Red demonstrated weak controls for detecting money laundering and problem gambling. During this period, there were at least 22 incidents that suggested that the player in question was a problem gambler.

Gambling comission

The UK Gambling Commission has imposed a fine of £2 million on the online casino for failing to adequately implement controls.

... but free bonuses instead

Instead of checking to see if the customer needed help, 32Red gave him free bonuses. Under English law, the online casino should have done exactly the opposite. Protecting players from the dangers of problem gambling must be a priority for online gambling providers. Once the players show signs of an addiction, providers must take action to ensure the safety of the affected player. Because 32Red had failed to act in this case, they have now been fined £2 million.

It is best to choose an online casino that promotes responsible gaming, such as at Tropezia Palace, where there is an area on the site where you can limit your daily, weekly and monthly deposits. You can even temporarily close your player account if you want a break.
