The Dutch Regulator penalises two operators with €350,000

By Sophie Couard

The Dutch regulator seems determined to crack down on foreign online casinos that accept Dutch players in violation of the law.

We regularly report on the Dutch Regulatory Authority for Gambling (Kansspelautoriteit). In September, the agency imposed a fine of €312,000 on Mr. Green. This online casino is not the only one, as we report in today's news, because there were just two additional online casinos punished by this authority.

The fine is for two unlicensed online casinos operating in the Netherlands

The Kansspelautoriteit are diligent, confirming again how important they are to licensed online casinos. The Dutch regulator is staunchly against foreign online casinos which allow Dutch players to gamble but do not have a license in violation of the law.

Cyber Rock Entertainment NV and Honeydew Trading Limited

Cyber Rock Entertainment NV and Honeydew Trading Limited were fined €350,000.

We just learned that the Dutch regulator has fined two casinos, Cyber Rock Entertainment NV with a license from Curaçao and Honeydew Trading Limited with a license from Cyprus, for a fine of €350,000 for the above reason. Under Dutch law, these operators would have had to use IP blocking technology to prevent Dutch players from using their money in online casinos.

As we await to see what happens next at Kansspelautoriteit, you can enjoy yourself in popular online casinos such as SlotsMillion, Cashmio or Casumo.
