The Spanish Government has submitted plans to the European Union to restrict gambling advertisements under the 2019 budget.

Advertising and gambling seem to have become a taboo combination in some of the southern European countries. This time round it is Spain whose government is now looking to put restrictions on advertising.

The Spanish Government has recently put forward plans to restrict gambling advertisements as part of its European Union budget 2019. The document, created by Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and members of the Podemos party, aims to introduce restrictions on gambling advertisements similar to those of tobacco products.
