New Netent address: Pennsylvania
The developer Netent is currently looking more closely at various US markets. The company is already present in New Jersey, where a player recently won a progressive jackpot at the Divine Fortune slot during a conference call on his work and now the Swedish company wants to settle in Pennsylvania. For this reason, they have just applied for a gambling license, which will be issued by the local regulator as soon as online gambling is legalized in the state.
13 million inhabitants
Pennsylvania is the second largest US state-regulated online casino in its area, and is the fifth-largest state in the United States, with nearly 13 million inhabitants. Therefore, the state is of particular interest to providers in the online gambling industry. On September 19th, Netent has confirmed that they did apply for a license from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB). With a license they could then offer their table games and online slot machines in this soon liberalized market.
Opening expected in early 2019
It's been almost a year since the Pennsylvania government approved a bill that allows online casino games. So far, the PGCB has received many license applications for slot machines, table games or poker games. An opening of the market is expected either at the end of this year or at the beginning of next year.
