Netent to release slots based on Conan the Barbarian and Ozzy Osbourne
The game developer NetEnt often gets mentioned in our news section. Case in point, It was only yesterday that we reported on Netent’s new live blackjack table, which was developed together with the Rank Group. Now the Swedish company is once again in our news after announcing that they have acquired the rights to Conan the Barbarian and Ozzy Osbourne. This of course means that they will be developing slot games for these two iconic characters.
Conan the Barbarian
The Texan, Robert E. Howard created the character Conan in the early 1930’s and featured this Cimmerian barbarian in a series of short stories that laid the foundation of modern fantasy literature. Now game developer Netent has acquired the rights to develop their own gaming slot, inspired by the adventures of this mythical hero. The hero is known to many people today especially through the movie Conan the Barbarian by John Milius with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the lead role.
British heavy metal vocalist Ozzy Osbourne made his name as the Black Sabbath frontman in the early 1970’s, before embarking on a successful solo career in 1979. In 2002, a television series about the everyday life of his family was broadcast on MTV. Netent has now also acquired the rights to this brand, and will develop a slot game based on this iconic figure known by the nickname of The Prince of Darkness.
