Netent revolutionizes its online games with virtual reality
We have some great news today: the online casino industry will soon experience a real (r)evolution! The developers seem determined to offer the players an even more fantastic gaming experience, as we recently witnessed at the ICE Totally Gaming Show in London 2017.
The show is an annual event that took place this year from February 7-9, and the developer Net Entertainment, who is one of the major players in the industry, presented their new VR slot game Gonzo's Quest. This slot is - aside from Starburst - one of their most popular games, and the fantastic story and theme allowed for an equally interesting virtual reality experience.
Gaming in online casinos will soon be revolutionised
The Swedish company Net Entertainment believes that in the next two years the VR games will gain their place in the market of online gambling. Last year, several virtual reality headsets were released and met with great success. The VR technology leaves a lot of possibilities and opportunities, and players are always keen on trying out new technologies to play these games.
Netent shows a lot of enthusiasm for advancing this technology, and to be at the forefront, they focussed their efforts on their most popular game. The game Gonzo's Quest will soon be available as a virtual reality version.
The first playable demo at the ICE Totally Gaming
A few members of our team were among the lucky people to try out this promising game in the Netent Booth at the ICE Totally Gaming in London this year. Although it was just a prototype of the game, it was a lot of fun to play and showed the potential of these games.
You wear the VR headset and get immersed into a 360° universe where you meet the famous conquistador Gonzo and witness his attempt to enter the temple. The theme of the game is rather funny and playful, so it was a great experience to be close to Gonzo and experience him in full flesh. Below, you can find a video of the VR experience and get a rough idea of what you can expect in the future.
