€19 million to be won on Mega Moolah

By Sophie Couard

The progressive jackpot of Mega Moolah has just paid €18,910,668.01 to a player.

Last week we had reported on the progressive jackpot belonging to Netent’s Arabian Nights, which paid a player €2.2 million. In comparison to this next win, it now seems rather tiny because Mega Moolah by Microgaming has just paid out a record prize!

A new world record

Earlier this month, we reported that the progressive jackpot Mega Moolah Slots had exceeded €14 million. Since then, the jackpot continued to grow, until it has finally been won by a player. This jackpot enriched the player to the tune of €18,910,668.01 and also broke the world record in the process.

Won using a smartphone

Unfortunately, we do not know much about the player, but we do know that he was playing on his smartphone. But what he managed to do is break the record set by the Mega Moolah Jackpot. In October 2015, Briton Jon Heywood won £12,213,838, which was approximately the equivalent of €17,879,645.
