A player at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Sioux City lost his cool and punched the screen of a slot machine.

When people think of land-based and online casinos, they mostly think of good times and a shot at huge winnings. It was only yesterday, in our blog, that we told you about the winner of Yggdrasil's Joker Millions €3.1m progressive jackpot. Players don't normally expect to lose more than their wager, but that wasn't the case in this next story that we'll tell you about below.

Frustration leads to criminal mischief plea

A slot machine player by the name of Tommy Goldberg was charged with criminal mischief after he was caught punching a slot machine's screen on video surveillance. He was at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Sioux City, Iowa, on January 7th, 2019. Apparently, he lost his cool after a string of losses. After pleading guilty, he was ordered to pay a fine of $625 for damages and a further $1,050 to the casino. This was in addition to a 6-day jail term which will no doubt help him cool off.

Moral of the story

The moral of this story is simple. Don't make winning large sums the only condition for having fun when playing slots. Instead, enjoy slots for their entertainment value so if you do indeed win a large prize – then that’s an added bonus!

If you're ready to have some fun then you can visit the online casinos SlotsMillion, Dunder Casino and VideoSlots.
