Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) withdraws two licenses
The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), the Maltese Gaming regulator, has just withdrawn licenses from Neptune Entertainment and Triton Gaming with immediate effect. These two operators were also instructed to stop operations immediately.
Ensuring the safety of players
A gambling license is an official document issued by a government regulator. This license requires that the online gambling operator abide by certain rules, especially those relating to player protection. If an operator violates the rules then it may face a heavy fine, such as the operator 32Red that was fined £2 million by the UK Gambling Commission.
Neptune Entertainment and Triton Gaming
In the case of particularly serious infringements by operators, these may lead to suspension or complete loss of their license. The operator loses the ability to offer online gambling. This is now the case with Neptune Entertainment and Triton Gaming, whose licenses have just been withdrawn by the Malta Gaming Authority.
