The Main Street Station complex is located in Downtown Las Vegas, at the intersection of Main Street and Ogden Street, and it is named after the railway tracks of the Union Pacific crossing which is located right behind.

It has many features that makes it different from other casino-hotels in the city. For example, the beautiful hotel lobby reminds of a 1900s train station, and you can also find other things that relate to world of trains and that era, such as a Pullman sleeping car and accessories, such as Coca-Cola chandeliers, stained glass of the Lillian Russell Mansion or the facade of the Royal Bank of Kuwait.
The men's room of the establishment is also worth looking at, as some urinals are surrounded by pieces of the Berlin Wall! Unfortunately, there is nothing like that in the ladies' room...

A casino for regulars

The casino of the Main Street Station complex covers over 2,600 m². It offers many game tables and also many slot machines with relatively low limits and generous payout rates. This means that the complex attracts a lot of regular players. As it is located near the California, there are also many players from Hawaii, as that complex mainly targets this clientele.

The slot machines

There are over 800 devices from 1 cent to $5 available in the Main Street Station casino. Among them are:

  • games where you can win a progressive jackpot,
  • mechanical slot machines,
  • video slots,
  • video poker,
  • video keno.

Some of the most popular games are for example:

  • Big Ben,
  • Cleopatra,
  • Da Vinci Diamonds,
  • Friends,
  • Great Owl,
  • Mr. Cashman Tequila Sunrise.

The table games

Regarding the traditional casino games, you can find around 20 tables with:

  • blackjack from $5,
  • super 21 from $5,
  • craps from $5,
  • roulette from $5,
  • three card poker from $5,
  • let it ride from $5,
  • pai gow poker from $10.

Before ending this section about the Casino Main Street Station, I would like to mention that this casino can be accessed by everyone. However, as required by law, if you want to play the games you must be an adult, that is to say, be at least 21 years of age.

Dining, accommodation and entertainment

In addition to playing the casino games, you can also use other services in the complex that is located in the city centre of Las Vegas. In fact, it is not only a casino, the complex also offers a hotel, restaurants and some recreational facilities.

A hotel

The hotel at Main Street Station has a very nice Victorian atmosphere. There are a total of 406 rooms with:

  • the deluxe king rooms of 37 m²,
  • the deluxe two queens rooms of 37 m²,
  • the deluxe suites of 60 m².

Every room is very large, well equipped and comfortable. The complex offers a very good value for money. However, make sure you that you are placed in a room at the Downtown side and not facing the railway side, as this is much noisier.

One of the big advantages of the complex are also the restaurants. The complex does not have a lot of different varieties, since there are only two restaurants, but the quality is outstanding and the prices are very low for that. You can find:

  • the Garden Court Buffet (an all you can eat self service buffet that is comparable to that of the Bellagio, for a price three times less),
  • the Triple 7 (an excellent diner offering pizza, tapas, sushi, burgers and 6 varieties of craft beer).

Other services

You can also find the following amenities at the Main Street Station:

  • some shops,
  • a theatre,
  • a bar (Boar's Head Bar), located next to the Garden Court Buffet, which offers a unique atmosphere that combines Victorian style with modern entertainment, and has a beautiful marble counter, brass columns, a huge HD TV, and a boar statue that gives the place its name.

In short, I love the Main Street Station. It is an excellent hotel with nice rooms and beautiful Victorian decorations. The restaurants offer delicious food for low prices. The casino is also an ideal place for players with relatively low limits and the slots offer generous payout rates. Although it is certainly not a luxury hotel, nor the best place for VIP players, the complex will surely appeal to many players!
