Casino review / Joa des Pins aux Sables d'Olonne
20 Jul 1967
The town of Sables d'Olonne is part of the historical Lower Poitou in the centre-west in the department of Vendée, and it is the main city on the Côte de Lumière. It is also a famous seaside resort and a port (most important cod fishers of France).
The town boasts many beaches and ports and has been interesting for tourists for the last century. The town also offers a lot of cultural heritage, including the embankment that is lined with numerous villas of the 19th century, several interesting places of worship, the Château Saint-Clair, the St. Nicolas priory, the Sainte-Croix abbey museum and a zoo. The town also hosts the Vendée Globe every four years.
Sables d'Olonne is unquestionably an undisputed tourist resort. There are also two casinos establishments, of which one is managed by the Barrière group and the other by the Joa group. In this review I will explain what the Joa casino has to offer.
