The menu with a starter and main course costs €18, the menu with a starter, main course and dessert costs €23 and you can also choose the menu 'Faites Vos Jeux' that consists of a starter, a main course, a dessert and a €5 voucher for the slot machines and costs €25.50. You have a choice of starters from hot goat cheese salad with croutons and poached egg, Caesar salad with curry chicken, croutons and parmesan cheese, apple fruit salad with marinated feta cheese, country ham and pine nuts, or 6 oysters from the bay of Aiguillon sur Mer. The main courses include sabre fillet with white wine sauce with dill cream, hake fillet in white butter, beef fillet steak with white pepper or pork filet mignon with rosemary. To finish your meal in style you can indulge in homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies with praline ice cream and chantilly, Pistachio Crème Brûlée, a three cheese plate or a cup with 2 scoops of ice cream with whipped cream.
If you are looking for a real gourmet menu, the set menu Les Embruns for €33 might be something for you. As a starter, the chef suggests marinated salmon salad with crunchy Julienne on a bouquet of vegetables, foie gras with onion chutney and brioche, or 9 oysters from the bay of Aiguillon sur Mer. The main courses include a bar fillet with white butter with risotto and vegetables, cod fillet with curry sauce with lime, or a guinea fowl with oysters and mushrooms. For desserts, you can find a cheese platter or sweet delicacies, such as the Sablé Breton butter shortbread pastry with light cream and lemon and raspberry puree, a gourmet tea or coffee, Coupe Pêche melba or Profiteroles with hot chocolate.
If you have the time to plan in advance you can also order a very elaborate lobster menu for €59, which needs to be ordered 24 hours in advance. The restaurant is open to everyone who wishes to enjoy the view over the hills, and even offers a menu for children for €7.50.
Apart from these different set menus, the menu also offers many different options, such as a good selection of mussels and grilled food and a large selection of ice cream.
The restaurant at the Casino in La Faute-sur-Mer opens its doors outside of school holidays from Wednesday to Monday from 12 pm to 2 pm and Wednesday to Saturday from 7 pm to 8.30 pm and during the school holidays from Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 12 pm to 2 pm and from 7 pm to 8.30 pm.
