Schoelcher is a small resort that boasts beautiful beaches. It is located next to Fort-de-France, the capital of Martinique, which is famous for its important historical heritage, including the beautiful St. Louis Cathedral. But it is of course also the white sandy beaches and the tropical climate that attracts thousands of tourists every year.
There is also a large casino nearby. But what does the Cogit Casino Batelière Plazza in Schoelcher has to offer? I will answer this question in the following review about the casino.
An interesting game selection
The casino has a relatively strong design, and the carpet is a little too extravagant, but it has a nice atmosphere nevertheless. The games room can be accessed by all adults aged 18 or older, and only if they are not prohibited from gambling. It is also mandatory to present a valid form of identification.
The slot machines
The selection of slots offered by the establishment is very diverse, and you can find a varied selection of themes and styles of games. They are available Sunday to Thursday from 10 am to 3 am, and Friday, Saturday and the eves of holidays until 4 am. There is something for everyone, and you can play at over 160 devices from 1 cent, including:
- games with progressive jackpots,
- traditional mechanical slot machines,
- ultra modern video slot machines,
- many variants of video poker,
- an electronic English roulette.
The table games
The elegant and special atmosphere of the traditional games with dealers can be enjoyed every evening from Sunday to Thursday from 8 pm to 3 am, and Friday, Saturday and the eves of holidays until 4 am. You can play:
- sic bo,
- blackjack from €2,
- English roulette from €1.
To our great satisfaction, the establishment also has a poker room that has a good reputation for their players and friendliness. The room is open every evening from Sunday to Thursday from 8 pm to 3 am, and Friday, Saturday and the eves of holidays until 4 am. You can compete against other players in cash games or tournaments at several tables with buy-ins from €100 to €2.500.
Dining and drinking
Of course, you can play casino games at the Cogit Casino Batelière Plazza in Schoelcher, as you I have explained before. Fortunately, you can also do other things, which will help you to truly enjoy the game selection even longer. In fact, it is always nice and even important to take some breaks when you play for a long time. The restaurant and bar of the establishment are the perfect places to clear your head!
There are two bars in the heart of slot machines and close to the table games. They are open daily from 10 am to 8 pm, and one of them is open until the casino closes. You can order from a large selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic hot and cold beverages, such as different beers and classic and original cocktails. There are even some savoury or sweet snacks on the menu.
Those who wish to enjoy a more substantial meal can visit the restaurant Club Seven which is open 7 days a week from Sunday to Thursday until 00.30 am, and until 1.30 am on Fridays, Saturdays and eves of holidays. The unique place has been inspired by contemporary casinos, and offers you the option to enjoy a la plancha meals and gourmet delicacies that are prepared before our eyes. You can order for example:
- Caesar salad, beef carpaccio or smoked salmon on the cold dishes side,
- steak, duck breast or a salmon steak with Mexican sauce in the selection from the grill,
- skewer with fresh fruit, light chocolate mousse or flan with coconut on the sweet side.
Unfortunately, the establishment does not offer accommodation, but this is not a real problem, as there are several hotels nearby, such as:
- the Hôtel Ecole ** starting from €62 per night,
- the Hôtel Batelière *** starting from €103 per night,
- the Hôtel Squash *** starting from €106 per night,
- the Fort Savane *** starting from €112 per night.
In short, the Cogit Casino Batelière Plazza in Schoelcher has some serious qualities. It is ideally located in a pleasant surrounding, and offers a good restaurant. It is of course also the casino that will hold our attention, and in this regard the casino does not disappoint, as they offer a large selection with all classic games.
