Located in the centre of the slot machines gaming hall, the Café de Sports welcomes you in a friendly atmosphere. Access is restricted to adults, who are not prohibited from gambling activities, and a valid identification document must be presented. This is a great meeting place for everyone interested in sports and it opens at 3pm. It offers live broadcasts of games, specialised press announcements and refreshments available throughout the day. It is also possible to see a show or participate in various activities in the gala hall of the establishments. Dances, comedians and artists appear regularly in the programme.
Open every Saturday from 11pm to 5am, L'Embellie is a free entry nightclub that serves alcoholic drinks from €12. This nightclub rocks their guests in a relaxed atmosphere that is changing as it gets later. Guests can get into the spirit of clubbing with rock, disco and salsa music and enjoy the moment.
However, it is important to note that the establishment which is run by the Lucien Barrière Group, does not offer hotel rooms on their premises. If you want to stay in a hotel of the casino operator the Normandy is just 2 km away. You can rest in an extraordinary luxurious environment with a unique charm. A less expensive option is Le Central, which is a charming 2-star hotel in the centre of Trouville, and prices start from €68 per night.
At the entrance of the city centre near the sea
Popular with resort tourists, Trouville-sur-Mer itself is one of the most touristy cities in the Normandy. Thanks to its proximity to Paris, it has a century long-standing history with the capital. The French aristocracy visited the sea-side town before the First World War. Trouville-sur-Mer also has a reputation with many artists who made it popular in their works. The city has also influenced great writers and painters of the nineteenth century, such as Marcel Proust, Alexandre Dumas or Claude Monet.
Conveniently located at the entrance of the city centre near the sea, at Place du Maréchal Foch, the Casino Barrière Trouville is accessible:
- by car on the A13 motorway,
- by train at the train station in Deauville-Trouville with the Paris/Trouville-Deauville connection departing from St-Lazare,
- by plane via the airport of Deauville Saint-Gatien, which is 5 km away.
A pleasant welcome
At the end of our short tour of the Casino Barrière Trouville, we will talk a little more about the general atmosphere of the establishment.
Firstly, it must be said that the building is very beautiful with its end 19th century architecture. This is undoubtedly a beautiful and prestigious place.
Unfortunately, customers nowadays are not always in the high-class spirit and wear old jeans and baseball caps when they play the games. In short, visitors are not actually required to dress in a certain way, which takes away a bit of the magic of the establishment.
However, the staff are very courteous and helpful. You can count on a friendly welcome and a lovely smile. The different dealers are listening to you, and you do not need to hesitate to ask them if you need help. In short, employees are friendly and helpful.
Although it offers a cosy and warm atmosphere and outstanding cleanliness, the establishment still has some flaws. These include its pay parking, and the lack of space on the weekends and during the summer. However, it is a little bit crowded during these periods to fully enjoy the place.
In conclusion, we can say that the Casino Barrière Trouville is an excellent location to play casino games. It is maybe a little less classy than its neighbour in Deauville and it also does not have any poker tables. Nevertheless, thanks to its pleasant and attentive staff, you will surely have a great time.
