The Casino in Cape d'Agde was opened in 1987 by the Tahoe group, and acquired by the Barrière group in March 2014. Since then, the casino has undergone some adjustments to improve the performance and to provide better services to the visitors. The Casino is currently one of the largest gambling establishments in the Hérault department and in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. In fact, the Casino has a large gaming hall featuring over 150 slot machines of different types. It also offers three of the most popular tables games, including blackjack, the Boule game and English roulette. The Casino in Cap D'Agde follows the spirit of the other casinos of the Barrière Group, and offers a restaurant and a bar. Whether for meals with your family, lovers or friends, or when you want to take a break in between the games, you can visit two dynamic and friendly venues.
The restaurant "Le Menlo Park"
The restaurant Menlo Park has an indoor room and a terrace, and it is designed to provide you a great atmosphere. The establishment offers a fashionable and trendy restaurant, which can be compared to other great places offering European food.
In terms of the cuisine, the chef and his team offer various specialties mainly derived from French and Mediterranean cuisine, and you can find a varied menu, that also features different set menus.
Some of the best dishes on the menu include starters, such as cold goat cheese roasted with honey, egg casserole with salmon or assorted hams. The main courses include prawns flamed in cognac, filet mignon with mustard seeds or steak with green pepper. The desserts include creme brulee with vanilla, apple tarts or profiteroles with chocolate sauce. There are also some set menus available from €19, for example the "Menlopark" menu. A wide choice of wines is also available.
The restaurant also hosts various musical and gastronomic events. You can among others attend different buffets at tea dances, contests, games, and many more.
The restaurant « Le Menlopark » is open every day from 7.30 pm to 11 pm during the high season, but is closed every week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the low season.
The Bar at the Casino
As in all the Barrière establishments, the Casino in Cap d'Agde also has a lounge bar. You can get your favourite drinks there, from different alcohols, such as champagne, all the way to cocktails, soft drinks, hot drinks, beers and aperitifs. The Bar "Café des Sports" offers you the opportunity to relax and enjoy broadcasts of big sporting events on a large screen.
The bar is also able to serve some dishes, such as toasted sandwiches, pizzas, pasta dishes and others, to satisfy small appetites, especially when you take a break from the games at the slot machines or table games.
You can visit the Casino bar every day from 12.30 pm to 2 am.
