Children's cartoon style
The style and theme of this slot may not appeal to everyone's taste unless you like cute and cuddly fur balls, rainbows and dancing flowers. There is no question of the creativity that went to its design including the smiling sun that moves from left to right pulling the evening sky behind it. The symbols are expelled from holes in the ground like geysers as a pose to the more conventional reel spin. There are five creature symbols from bottom to top with an additional rainbow cloud symbol and shooting star symbol that make up the highest two paying symbols. Other highlights include the dancing flowers and mushrooms moving in tandem to the short tune that loops and which I found to be a little annoying after a few minutes. The game comes with some understated sound effects that are light hearted and fun and there is a fair bit of animation to keep you entertained at least for a little while.

Expanded wild with respin, 2 way wins
Though rich in creativity, the slot is somewhat short on features but what it does have is an expanded wild symbol which can cover an entire reel when appearing on reels 2 or 4 and when used in a winning combination becomes sticky for an additional free respin which will continue so long as you continue to generate new winning combinations. Another important feature is that the slot pays left to right and right to left implicitly doubling the number of payline wins. The slot unfortunately does not offer some of the more popular features that you might find like bonus features, scatters, gamble or free spins.
Polarizing design
Toki Time is probably one of those games where you either love or hate the design and so it's not for everyone. The theoretical return to player (RTP) is on the high side at 97.1% and you can play with stakes of as little as €0.10 and as high as €100. The slot is probably about a low to medium as you win a little less often with the occasional larger win once in a while. The features are few and the payouts are not very enticing at up to 24x your total bet with the next highest being 12x. This slot really tries to rely on its polarizing design rather than features to keep you playing. If you think that you might like to try the slot before playing for actual money, then you could do so to see if it's something you might enjoy.
