GAME TEST / The Invisible Man
event_note Published on 22 Feb 2017

Based on the Universal studios horror classic of the same name, The Invisible Man is a 5-reel, 3-row and 20 fixed paylines win both ways slot from Netent that can make up to 200,000 coins appear out of thin air!

Stunning design

If you've watched the 1933 film the character symbols will be familiar to you including the lovely Flora Cranley, scientist Arthur Kemp, Dr Cranley, Mr Hall and Mrs Hall co-owners of the Coach and Horses Inn. Beneath these are the lower level poker symbols. The setting for this slot is the laboratory of Dr Griffin aka The Invisible Man. The graphics are stunning high end 3D images, nothing less than what we've come to expect from this developer. The orchestral music adds a nice touch to the slot which includes some exceptional sound effects to enhance the mood.

Police wild, Griffin wild

Unlike many other slots, wins are calculated both ways. That is from left to right and right to left. You will find no less than two different wilds! The police wild will appear on the 1st reel only during normal games and all reels during the free spins. He will move one reel to the right after each respin until completely disappearing off the reel. Conversely, the Griffin wild appears on the 5th reel during normal games and on all reels during the free spins. He moves from right to left after each respin until he completely disappears off the reel. Each symbol can replace all other symbols. In the event that the tandem wilds shift onto the same space (merge) during the main games 10 free spins are awarded and 4 free additional spins are awarded during the free spins. While in the free spins games, there are two meters above the reels used to collect up to eight police or Mr Griffin wild symbols. Should you manage to completely fill one of the meters then you will unlock the Police Spins or Griffin's Rage bonus features. The Police Spins Feature give you 3 free spins with 5 randomly places wilds. The maximum win for this feature is 270,000 coins. The Griffin's Rage bonus feature transports you to the Lions Head Inn, The Mansion and Ipping Station where you select one of five items to reveal your coin prize or multipliers of between 2x and 4x. The maximum win for this bonus feature is 37,600 coins.

Overall well rounded game

The Invisible Man has a theoretical return to player (RTP) of 96.3% on total stakes that range from €0.02 to as high as €40. Payline wins can reach as high as 25x your total bet and with 20 win both ways paylines you get an opportunity to combine lesser payline wins. The slot has great graphics and sounds packed in a rather unique theme with plenty of features to keep you entertained which includes two bonuses. We did note however that it was very difficult to trigger the free spins feature and subsequently the bonus features which is a consideration when deciding whether to play but you can try it for free to help you decide.
