NextGen Gaming introduces the 5-reel, 4-row and 50 fixed paylines slot A While on the Nile based on an Ancient Egyptian theme with a light hearted slant that can result in up to 1,000 coins in prizes.

Popular, light hearted Egyptian theme

The slot has an extremely popular ancient Egyptian theme with light hearted cartoon style graphics complete with background River Nile, pyramids and arches with hieroglyphs. The base symbols consist of a smiling Cleopatra, Eye of Horus symbol, tablet, staff and 5 poker symbols all appearing on a translucent reel. The music and sound effects are consistent with the subject matter of the slot.

Free game features

The slot is well balanced with features that include 5 free games which can be re-triggered with the appearance of 3 jewel symbols which can appear on reels 2, 3 and 4. During the feature, symbols on the reels turn wild. Next, you have the Scarab Bonus Feature which is triggered with three scarab symbols that appear on the 1st, 3rd and 5th reels. Choose from the scarabs on the screen to win the prizes revealed until the point at which you reveal the collect message. The Pharaoh wild symbol replaces all symbols appearing stacked on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th reels and replaces all other symbols except the scattered jewel and scarab. The slot allows you to bet an additional amount called the super bet of 2x, 4x, 6x, 8x or 10x your normal bet where the Pharaoh wild acts as a 2x, 4x, 6x, 8x or 10x multiplier. For a chance to top up on your winnings, the slot offers a black/red colour gamble and suit gamble feature in which you can choose to play or take you win. You can play up to 5 consecutive times for double or nothing or quadruple or nothing depending on whether you play the colour or suit version.

Lower end variance with a higher variance

A While on the Nile has a theoretical return to player (RTP) of 95.076% to 95.631% on bets that range from €0.50 all the way up to a high rolling €700! The variance for this slot is not low so you will likely need a higher bank role to continue playing this for any length of time. The graphics are good but the style is a little on the Vegas strip tacky end so as appearances go this is not one of my favourites. If you want to try the game, you can do so free of charge and we suggest you do this prior to playing for money.
