We are more likely to report on news about large gains in land-based casinos, such as the jackpots recently won by honest players in Monaco and Montreal. But there are players who do not shy away from breaking the law to get money. This is the subject of our story today.
Fraud using a fake banknote
Last month, the Sun Casino in Monaco was the victim of a counterfeit fraud. The fraudsters played in the table game, roulette. This game is not the only popular table game in which counterfeit money is played as you will see in our next story of a player who played at a blackjack table and tried to trick the dealer with counterfeit money.
Twin River Casino Lincoln, Rhode Island
The fraud attempt took place on Sunday, May 13th, 2018 at around 3 o'clock in the morning. The player Robert Javier tried to spend a fake $100 bill at a blackjack table. Unfortunately for him, the employee realized that this was a fake banknote. The police were then contacted by the security staff at Twin River Casino, Lincoln, Rhode Island. The player was arrested, without resistance, by the police and was released by the magistrate for a $1,000 bail bond.
