Cancellation of the UWin4U license by the Malta Gaming Authority

By Sophie Couard
UWin4U Ltd has had their licence cancelled by the Malta Gaming Authority.

The Malta Gaming Authority has been in our news lately with the granting of licences. Back in an August blog, we told you about Pragmatic Play which received a licence by the regulator. Then a few days ago, OneTouch received their software license from the regulator. In today's blog, we're telling you about a cancellation of the UWin4U license by the regulator. We invite you to read on.

In breach of the third Schedule to the Gaming Act

Effective September 23, 2019, the Malta Gaming Authority had cancelled the license of UWin4U Limited. The cancelled license means that they can no longer conduct gaming operations, accept new players or new customer deposits. They must also return funds to players. The reason for this is that UWin4U Limited failed to make payments to the authority when due.

The reason for the cancellation was a failure to make payments to the authority when due.

About the Malta Gaming Authority

The Malta Gaming Authority is a regulatory body responsible for safeguarding players' rights, protecting the most vulnerable, promoting safe and reliable gambling, ensuring the integrity of games and keeping gaming free from criminal activities. They enjoy a good reputation and are a popular jurisdiction of licensed casinos and other operators. Failure to comply with the terms of one's license can result in severe penalties as we saw by the cancellation of the UWin4U license.
